Hi Janet!
You are pretty cruel sending us such a thrilling
race account when It's 5 degrees in Chicago.
Lake Michigan is frozen.
We might forgive you by, oh, June?
;)
Sounds like a lot of fun, if a bit scary! Glad to
hear the Lüders out west are still in the thick
of it!
Have a great holidays,
Bill

>Hey, we had a nice race Saturday. It was the Ancient Mariners Half Pint of

>The race was a start at anchor with with sails down way down the bay in
>Fiddlers Cove. Brad had me off the beach and was well in the lead at the
>turning mark but he went too far just before the bridge and I got under him.
>He was close behind me and then he went in by the Star of India and I tacked

>minutes. Randy too. Randy was in a different class and started later, but
>I saw him finish on our way back to the dock. It was really windy and the

>replaced that forestay fitting as I has to crank on the back stay something
>fierce to spill some of the wind out of the sails. I dumped the travler

>the deck most of the day and had the cabin sides in the water a few times.
>Good fun after the fact and a sheer ride of terror while its happening.
>
>There were about 25 boats in the race, but just us three Luders. They love
>us.
>
>Take good care. JC
